Ok I’m gonna be straight with you guys, I know NOTHING about sneakers and sneaker culture, but I do feel as if a certain type of demographic has been largely ignored on this blog … and that’s all about to change! Here’s the latest round-up of what’s happening in the sneaker world….are you as excited about this as I am?? Whoop!
New Air Jordan 2012
I know this Jordan brand is a big deal to sneaker heads, so it had to be first! There’s a whole lot of technical stuff mentioned about the shoe, such as Flywire technology and a midfoot carbon fibre and glass plate, but what I thought was cool is the fact that it has interchangeable inner sleeves and midsoles to match your different needs, seems there’s more to these shoes than I originally gave them credit for!
Speakeasy Lace Locks
You can customise your sneakers with these newly released lace locks, with which you can spell out any word up to 8 letters long. Although, let’s agree to leave the word “Swag” behind us … it kind of lost it for me when it became The-Artist-Formerly-Known-As -Diddy’s chosen new name. I just couldnt fux with it after that!
New Jeremy Scott Spring/Summer Apparel Collection
Ok so this might not be about sneakers per se, but it’s about Adidas designer Jeremy Scott-that’s close enough! Here are a few images from his latest collection.
I will admit that the cycling short-clad man confuses me a little (okay A LOT!) And the pose too for that matter…
…but I find myself strangely drawn to this metallic fringe jacket!
So what do you think? Not bad for our first foray into big, bad sneaker world huh? |

| Review by Penelope Stevens for Rating: Love this shoe. I play tennis on hard coturs four to six times a week and this shoe is comfortble and stable. I have a small foot (5 1/2) with a very narrow heel and a fairly high arch making it difficult to find a good fit. This shoe meets all of my needs. The sole, while not lasting quite as long as other brands, still maintains its traction for six months or more. Plus,it's great looking and I have gotten many compliments on the tennis court.I plan to buy more pairs before they discontinue the style. |
