YFM took “Back to School” to a whole other level on June 15th as we took over the Bus Factory in Newtown to host the biggest Youth Day celebration in GP!
Professor, Nothende, Relo, Kwesta, Speedy and Stoan, Tumi (from Tumi and the volume), and Lucia Mthiyane took to the stage to tell us a story of pride, resistance and the bravery of the youth that fought for our freedom.
The Yires came out in their numbers, and rocked their school uniforms with pride! Its nice to know that we aren’t all too cool for dress up parties(You know who you are!) Peep the detention club below:
Designers Gert-Johan Coetzee, Ephymol, DFC, Thula Sindi and Strussbob showcased what they had to offer, and YFM personalities strutted their stuff alogside models in a fun, funky and vibrant display of the trendiest in youth culture.
The beautiful people of Johannesburg came out. We ate, we drank and we were merry! Some had some interesting accessories, like 1/3 of Kwela Tebza below:
While YFM DJs Motso and Ma Ada decided to channel the school headboy and his mischievous friend!
One thing thats for certain is this; YFM knows how to party, and we definitely showed GP a good time!
