One of Jozi’s most popular events, Pop Bottles, celebrated its 3rd year running at Acorn Lane in Sandhurst yesterday. Besides the power cuts and random speeches on stage, it was a dope night out and Djs such as Fresh, Kenzhero, Vigilante and others kept the dance floor pulsating!

I’m starting to get seriously bored with watching the same artists perform at every gig I go to, but Khuli Chana and Aka gave great performances as usual. Can I make this a challenge to other local hip hop acts to pull up their socks? There’s space for more than five artists I promise!

JR hopped onto stage during Khuli Chana’s “surprise” performance, and so did the rest of the hip hop fraternity it would appear!

As we’ve all come to expect from Pop Bottles, many scantily clad hot girls were to be seen….

…we also bumped into Nthato from Strussbob and YFM’s Tumi Voster.

All in all, ’twas a dope way to round off  the first weekend of Spring (which we still can’t believe we survived in one piece!) Woza festive!
