M.I.A. has never been one of those musicians who was classified as “normal”, or fit into mould we were familiar with. Her latest video for the song “Bad Girls” is another testament to this effortless cool. Her choice of location (the middle of an Arabian desert) and the setting of the video provides a bizarre contrast to the activities happening in it. It’s the unexpected elements that make it so cool,effortlesly so! It could also be her sitting on top of a car driving on two wheels calmly filing her nails! Either way it’s what a bad girl is all about-she’s not too considered, she just IS.
