Zukile Majova

Zukile Majova is a journalism graduate of the Durban Institute of Technology.

He is still in culture shock and adjusting to the challenge of working in an environment filled with black people (his previous employer was the Mail and Guardian).

Now, as News Editor, he is responsible for news, sport, and current affairs at Yfm and Y World.

Zukile sees himself as an aspirant writer from uMvuzi village. He thinks South Africa is a better country than it was pre-1994 and that president Thabo Mbeki is right when he says, “today is better than yesterday”.

He also correctly predicted Jacob Zuma’s victory in Polokwane many months ahead of the conference when most journalists were predicting his downfall.

More to the point, he is optimistic about the future under the new ANC leadership.
