I’m Lenn Moleko – born and bred in Potchefstroom and I am an outgoing, the fun type, always smiling and great to hang around with.I love sports – I dream sports, play it and in a nutshell – I am crazy about sports. I take joy in sports discussions and when any stranger is into balls and all – we will click from the get go.
Brief professional background
I studied at UJ and worked at UJFM – and then got into YFM through the Y-Academy programme.
What is your position & how do you spend your work time?
I’m a YFM Sports Reporter and spend my time consuming everything about sports, that means watching it, reading about it and discussing it.
When did you get your break in radio?
I started radio back in Varsity but my big break came through the Y-Academy.
What’s the best thing about the job?
The best thing about my job is that I am doing what I love – which is reporting on sports and being able to learn from other people about sports.
What’s the worst thing about the job?
If you do what you love – you will never work a day in your life, so I can hardly think of anything at the moment that I hate about my job.
Why do you prefer radio over print media?
It’s immediate, fun and it is always jogging your memory and thoughts.
What was your most embarrassing moment on air?
Getting surnames mixed up – saying Chops Sibasa instead of Chops Sipuka.
