I have a great sense of humour and am sometimes “Crazy” for lack of a better word… I am also very intelligent and I mean very intelligent. Did I mention that I am intelligent?

Brief professional background

I actually worked at two radio stations (Jozi FM & Kasie FM) before joining the hottest frequency… ayobaness.

What is your position & how do you spend your work time?

I am a news reporter and that entails a lot of research and being in the know.

When did you get your break in radio?

2008… The year to be envied by all.

What’s the best thing about the job?

I love my job because it puts me in a position to meet great leaders and other interesting personalities here in Mzansi. I also get to keep people informed.

What’s the worst thing about the job?

Deadlines … Deadlines and even more Deadlines … who came up with the phrase: ‘Guys we have to meet the Deadline’?

Why do you prefer radio over print media?

Radio is instant and kind of creates the Adrenalin that I HATE to LOVE and in radio we always hours ahead of print.

What was your most embarrassing moment on air?

During a news bulletin I just couldn’t pronounce Petroleum … I only got my swing back right after the bulletin and like I said radio is instant and there in. No, let’s take a second take … Believe me that now I can pronounce Petroleum even in my sleep.

Are social networking websites [Facebook, Twitter etc] good for journalism?

It’s the ultimate to get “Breaking News” … so some of the guys on Facebook can be a great source.
