Rea Vaya bus operators have ended a bus drivers dispute which resulted in a traffic jam in the Jo’burg CBD yesterday ahead of the Netherlands versus Denmark game.
Joburg metro council had to introduce metro busses to help ferry supporters to Soccer city yesterday – as Rea Vaya bus drivers claimed they were not informed about working extended hours during the world cup tournament.
Jackie Huntley, the CEO of Clidet – which runs Rea Vaya – has apologised for the inconvenience and assured commuters an even better service as a result.
Huntley says there will be better operation ahead of the Brazil versus Korea Republic at Ellis Park tonight.
