It is D-Day for ANC Youth League President Julius Malema as he faces the ANC disciplinary committee today.

Malema is charged with bringing the party into disrepute – after he expelled a BBC journalist from a press conference.

He’s also charged with ignoring an instruction from the ANC national executive to its members not to sing the struggle song – Ayesaba Amaguala and publicly attacking President Jacob Zuma.

ANC leaders said that they were particularly offended by Malema’s comparison of Zuma to President Thabo Mbeki and his public praise of Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe and the ruling Zanu-PF.
