Born in Giyani, Nhlamulo “Mulo” Hlungwani graduated with full colours in swag from the streets of Buccleuch, Johannesburg. He majored in journalism and politics at Rhodes University, while he pursued his passion for radio and dj-ing. From there he joined the international institution, The Hiphocalypse by hosting its flagship radio show. After graduating, Nhlamulo joined satellite radio TransAfrica Radio, as Head of Content and hosted a weekday show from 12pm – 3pm, which broadcasted all across Africa. Mulo joined YFM at the end of 2009 through Y Academy. . Soon after completion, he was given a slot on the weekend graveyard shift.
