Born and bread in Dube Soweto, Mo is a focused and ambitious young man, driven by an intense interest and passion for the media at large. The media’s ower over society is what prompted and inspired Mo to be a part of such an influential industry. Mo’s interest in radio stems from the medium’s ability to relate to different people in a very personal and interactive manner.

He views radio as one of the main drivers not only of information, but also of popular culture and perceptions. It is for this reason that he fell in love with this medium. Mo is also driven by music, with a huge passion for deep and soulful music. He generally deems himself as ‘a soul-head’, alluding to his love for soulful hip-hop & R & B. He enjoys all most types of leisure activity, clubbing, picnics, lounges and café’s.

Joining one of the country’s biggest youth radio stations, Yfm, was a dream which Mo held very close to his heart, and it came true in spectacular fashion. Being a part of the Yfm family is not only a gateway to a myriad of opportunity, but also a reward for Mo’s hard work and dedication, both in acquiring the necessary skills and experiences prior to him joining Yfm. Mo aims to bring some freshness, quality, and value to Yfm, and endeavours to work consistently to achieve this.

Mo embarked on a media studies diploma at Boston Media House, majoring in radio broadcasting and programming, as well as journalism. This has given Mo a solid skills background, which is required to undertake any facet of the radio broadcasting and programming fraternity. He also has a huge passion for writing, and plans to write for some of the country’s most recognised publications.

Big Brother Africa Update!

6 September 2010 @ 15:23

Munya could not believe it when IK said he was safe and clutched his hands together as if in prayer. He then held his head between his hands as IK continued to run through the Nominees list. "Uti, you are safe! Uti said "Thank you God for saving me once again!"

Tears

As soon as it was announced he was to exit the house, Code gave a bit of a smile, got up and got a hug from Paloma. Jen could not hold back the tears and cried as her friend went through the motions of giving everyone hugs. She and Code shared a lengthy hug, in the middle of the room which seemed to affect Code who closed his eyes. Biggie's voice could be heard over the speakers telling Code he has thirty seconds to exit the house. He did not look like he wanted to let go but did so anyway. Meryl and Mwisho stood at the door and as per the norm, the housemates walked the last mile across the lawn with him. With that, the man with the guitar disappeared behind the Garden doors and joined IK on the stage, while Munya and the rest of the Housemates went back into the lounge. Munya hugged Kaone as they walked back to the lounge and told him "to the stars is where we're going my man. I got you!" Courtesy of: http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/News/2872/Goodbye-Code.html
