about       |    gallery      |     twitter    |     facebook

Bonang means “to look at” in Tswana, a name given to her by her father because he believed that she was “too beautiful to ignore!” Clearly Bonang’s father was a visionary because unless you have spent the last year in outer Siberia, you would already know that all eyes are on “B” (as she is affectionately known) at the moment!

As a television personality, radio star and business-woman, Bonang is a triple threat bursting with personality and style. Along with an equally befitting Tswana name which means “to look at”, this young lady can’t help but command attention.

However, it’s not just her striking good looks and charisma that have captivated audiences, her voice is also a well-sought after commodity. After dabbling into radio as an Entertainment Correspondent in 2008, in 2009 saw Bonang upgrade to one of radio’s most sought after positions at Gautang’s most renowned youth station, YFM 99.2, which boasts an average of 1,5 million listeners daily. She currently hosts the weekly hip-hop show: Airborne with Ur Gal B, Thursdays, 22:00 to midnight.

To add another notch to her belt of success, Bonang’s ease and approachable nature makes her the ideal candidate for presenting and hosting live events. Bonang s a must have at these events where her energy on stage presense exsudes into the crowd and electifies their 5 senses. Within less than a decade, Bonang has managed to develop a very impressive resume that would make even the most seasoned industry professional blush with envy. Her strong work ethic and unwavering professionalism even resonates into business, in addition to countless daily responsibilities.

Bonang has still found time to launch a clothing range, Just B (The Bonang Range). This powerhouse move saw her reinvent herself into a fashion icon with merchandise available in 136 Legit stores nationwide.

Just B was so popular that all merchandise was sold out over the 2008 festive season. A first for Legit stores! This collaboration with Legit, catapulted Bonang to the fashion phenom that South Africa knows and loves today.

Handing over the reins to the legit range Bonang has now developed a line of handbags which falls under the name Baby Star. These exclusive handbags are about to be the only accesory one would need on their arms.

Even though there is so much that she is accomplishing, Bonang is always willing to lend a helping hand, especially where the youth is concerned. She currently serves as a Good Will Ambassodor for the National Youth Services. A government initiative founded by former Deputy President of the RSA, Ms Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka.

Bonang, alongside Stoan Seete, Kwela Tebza, David Kau and Andile Ncube, joined forces with the Umsobombvu Youth Fund on the “The Start Here Campaign”. A national movement aimed at advising young people on career, education loans and the future. In a few short years, Bonang has lived out a lifetime in the entertainment industry. You can still expect much more from this youth icon. Please have a browse through www.bonangmatheba.com and step into the virtual world your Girl B.

With a resume that will leave you wondering how this young achiever still manages to fit in the fact that Bonang is a Full time student at UJ.

For bookings, enquries etc please feel free to contact Kim Sears (Manager) on 079 494 0776 or kim@urbannoize.co.za

For more information about her clothing range please contact Miss Ocean Ngobeni at Edcon on 084 491 1133.
