Bonang means “to look at” in Tswana, a name given to
her by her
father because he believed that she was “too
beautiful to ignore!”
Clearly Bonang’s father was a visionary
because unless you have
spent the last year in outer
Siberia, you would already know that
all eyes are on “B”
(as she is affectionately known) at the moment!
She was born on 25 June 1987, in Mafikeng and
later moved to
Johannesburg where she discovered
her passion for performing and
entertaining
whilst attending school.
She has been as hard working and determined
ever since.
This young rising star is completing
her final year of a BA in
Marketing and
Communications at University of Johannesburg and
has simultaneously been working her way to the
top of the television
industry. Known for her
dynamic presence, infectious laugh and killa
fashion sense, Bonang has captured the hearts of
young South African’s.
Despite the fact that she is one of the busiest
and most sought
after women in the entertainment
industry, Bonang still believes
that joining the
YFM family is one of her greatest career
achievements. Growing up listening to YFM and
understanding
the culture and the power of the
YFM brand, she believes that she
has a lot to
contribute. She says -- YFM has a legacy of stars that
have made a meaningful contribution to the
entertainment industry
and to the SA youth
community as a whole. I am so excited about
joining the station as I know that l will continue
to grow at YFM.
