<p>Rapper Gucci Mane &#8211; has been committed to a mental institution in his home  town Atlanta .<span id="more-12997"></span></p>
<p>The sentence was recommended by a Fulton County Judge &#8211; following the rapper  violating the terms of his probation.</p>
<p>Mane has been on the wrong side of the law for numerous accounts like in  2005  over a murder charge which was later dismissed and also a botched robbery  involving men affiliated with Young Jeezy&#8217;s CTE Entertainment.</p>

<p>The South African Police Service and members of the Hawks have closed down a  drug manufaturing laboratory in Soweto.<span id="more-12995"></span></p>
<p>In a pre dawn raid the Hawks with members of the SAPS stormed the Chiawelo  house &#8211; discovering chemicals and manufacturing equipment valued at R500  thousand. Amoung the chemicals 30 mandrax tablets were seized along with 20kgs  of methacolone.</p>
<p>No people were present in the house at the time of the raid however the SAPS  say investigations are underway for potential suspects.</p>

<p>Over one million pupils are set to start primary education this month - with  more expected  &#8211; as late enrolements are still yet to be accomodated.</p>

<p>The Business Day reports the commission has been meeting with supermarkets to  tell them about the outcome of the probe before making it public &#8211; of which Pick  n Pay has welcomed.</p>
<p>This comes 18 months after the board began its inquiry into the sector  - after it was alledged to be driving up the price of food through collusion and  price fixing &#8211; food items effected included basic food groups such as bread and  milk.</p>

<p>Huntley&#8217;s lawyer - Advocate Russell Kaplan &#8211; says his client&#8217;s case  depends on whether a new judge would be afraid to be called a racist when  upholding Huntley&#8217;s second application.</p>

<p>The two police officers who were shot down in Meadowlands &#8211; Soweto &#8211; on  Sunday night &#8211; will be laid to rest today.<span id="more-12609"></span></p>
<p>The officers were ambushed inside the Mzimhlophe hostel &#8211; while doing routine  patrols in a marked van when they where gunned down.</p>

<p>The two police officers who were shot down in Meadowlands &#8211; Soweto &#8211; on  Sunday night &#8211; will be laid to rest today.<span id="more-12609"></span></p>
<p>The officers were ambushed inside the Mzimhlophe hostel &#8211; while doing routine  patrols in a marked van when they where gunned down.</p>
